Thank You Jesus

Friday night Marky and the Gomez family got the "okay" to go home. Remember Marky was flown into Amarillo on the Flight for Life due to seizures. When we were at the hospital the doctor came in to talk to everyone. Apparantly seizures do run in the family so it really isn't un-common for Marky to have the same genes, it's just scary. Marky had to drink 8 oz. of liquid before he could go home, so that might've been a challenge in itself. We all thank our Heavenly Father for keeping Marky out of the hospital for a long period of time. Thank you Jesus, thank you for always taking care of us, thank you for your everlasting love!! Only with You can we get through the rough times here on earth. Marky, we're so glad you're okay...Kim and Mark we are so glad you can finally get some peace and some rest. We love you guys so much...we cannot wait to see what the future brings us.

Quite a Scare

Bradley and Marky dancing ...June '08

Our good friends had quite a scare today. Their son, who is younger than Bradley, had a seizure on their way up to Oklahoma for their family vacation. It was bad enough that they flew Marky back to BSA on Flight for Life. Unfortunately, neither the mom, dad, grandparents, aunt or uncle could ride on the helicopter with him. Chris and I headed up to the hospital to meet the helicopter because the family was still about 2 to 3 hours away from Amarillo (remember they were on their way to Oklahoma for their vacation when this happened). About 45 mintues after waiting we heard the helicopter come in and were notified 15 mintues later that Marky was off the helicopter and into an ER room. It wasn't long afterwards when the family arrived (remember...2 to 3 hours out going about 90 miles an hour will get you back fast). After everything... the waiting game began. They ran tests but then had a scare of meningites. The tests results were coming back with negative/positive results-either way they were coming back in good news- but the meningites test was the last one to get the results on. Around 10:30 p.m. Marky was in the clear...thank you Jesus no meningites. So not only was Marky in the clear but everyone else who had contact with him, including baby Ava who is brand new to the world. It was quite stressful on everyone, especially the parents. Poor Kim (mom) couldn't help Marky like any mother would want to because he's plugged in and wired up and then she couldn't help baby Ava because of the meningites scare. Thankfully when that last test result came in-a huge burden was lifted. Although the test didn't explain his seizures-it made everyone breath easier. Tomorrow they will be running an EKG and a cat scan. Because he didn't have the meningites he was able to be transferred to the Pediatrics part of the hospital and not ICU. Thank you Jesus for keeping everyone safe-helping Marky get through today- and keeping everyone as sane as possible. We give this day, this night, and our lives to You!!!!

R.I.P. Monique Ballard

Monique Ballard passed away on June 13, 2008. Monique was a follower of Christ, daughter, sister, friend, listener, and so much more while she was with us. She will be greatly missed. If you ever met Monique, even once, you are likely to never forget her. She had an infectious personality, and a smile that brightened any room. Monique accomplished so much in her short time with us, her memory will live on forever in our hearts. Please keep her friends and family in your prayers.

Rest in peace Monique, we love you.

Bradley's First Birthday Party

Saturday Bradley attended his first non-relative birthday party. It was a little boy from his daycare and they had SO much fun. There was a big blow up water slide, a small wadding pool, and a fun sprinkler. After getting all wet and cold, the kids had a chance to break open a spider man penyata. They ate a delicious cookie cake, opened presents, and then got wet again. I can't tell you how much fun Bradley had. It was telling everyone--family, friends, and even strangers at Wal-Mart.

Workout 1-2-3

Chris decided to go get some 'gas' for the car but instead came home with a pull-up bar. Hmmmm. Bradley thinks its the coolest thing ever! Here he is working out. Think we have a mini body builder.

Sunday Lunch

After church we all enjoyed hamburgers at Linda's house. We all ate until our hearts were content and then we were amused by Bradley as he played in the water and the sandbox (two of which don't make the best mess). Bradley was just being a goof ball the entire time-he knows how to make himself the center of attention.

Dillas Game

Friday night we headed out to the Dilla Villa to watch them play some other team...they wore red uniforms. LOL. We had a blast...Bradley was more fascinated by the Dilla and the Cowboy. We had fun enjoying our friends. Aunt Teresa bought Bradley an inflatable bat--lucky for her she didn't have to put up with the whole thing with Brad..."Hey momma look!"..BOP! He thought he was so so funny. AGAIN, thank you Aunt Teresa for that wonderful gift. It might just end up at your house!

Bradley was able to get his hand signed by the Cowboy. OMG...that hand was never to be washed again!

Friends and Family

Wednesday night we drove out to our good friends house who just added a new addition not long ago. We had so much fun! We ate pizza with GINORMOUS pepporoni and we attempted to watch National Treasure 2 but with a three year old, a 1 1/2 year old, and...well...the dads it's hard to concentrate. Baby Avree is such a doll. She brings so much joy to everyone's lives. She's very content with her little life. I only heard her cry once but that was because she had a dirty diaper. We are so grateful to have the friends we have and I can't wait to see what the future brings us and our kids. God bless you guys!
These are some pics I took while out there...enjoy.
